Announced game Planet of the Apes: Last Frontier

If you have during the occasion of a recent film War for the Planet of the Apes asked how someone did not try to make a game on this thematic, you've definitely been in the pursuit of something. Namely, Planet of the Apes game is coming, and already this autumn for PS4, XBOX and PC. It is been developed by a new developer under the name The Imaginarium that is led by the main actor of the film series, Andy Serkis.

Planets of the Apes: The Last Frontier will be located between the Dawn of the Planet of the Apes (these titles every time sound more idiotic) and the last part that is currently in cinemas. Conflict of humans and apes will be seen from both perspectives, and based on our actions the story will have many different endings.

The game with genre will be an interactive adventure, but it should be said that this interactivity will be even smaller than that in Telltale's titles. In other words, there will be no research, puzzles or any direct control over the characters - the player's input will only be on the decisions he makes in the name of the characters.

The game will last about as much as the movies, on average 2-3 hours, and players will make decisions very often - almost every minute. Since players do not have any control over making decisions, this interactive movie really looks like a film - animation is top-notch and developer aims as close as possible to the movie version.

6 minutes of gameplay looks nothing like an actual game. Well I guess that comes with the genre.

Interstellar

I really hope the game will be at least half as good as the movie, that would already be a good surprise I guess :)

Sweg Lord

Movie was great! Hope the game would be just as good  or even better :D

i dont think it is a good idea.

Same here, this looks like a terrible idea.

It's just an animated "Choose Your Own Adventure" game, like the CYOA books,

likely the choices make little real difference to the full story as a whole.

Galactic

This seems like a pretty lazy endeavor. Only super fans of the movie series will probably pick this up.
