Indie diamond Papers, Please gets a movie version

In case you still do not feel old we remind you that Papers, Please came out four years ago. This indie fans favourite, but also the critics who devoted is truly timeless and unique experience that we will soon be able to experience in film form.

Unfortunately, it is not a big movie studio that has recognized the potential of the set and the story, but it is about the independent double Nikita and Liliyi Ordynskiy who co-operate with the developer of the game in making a short film. The first images look promising, and developer Lucas Pope says he has full confidence in the quality and vision of the pair behind the movie.

Even though films based on video game templates are mostly pretty bad, Papers, Please is a game that really has the potential to get a good movie adaptation. It would be interesting if the indie film developed by the indie game turned out to be the best film ever made by the game ever, so we keep fingers crossed that team is going to revive an interesting story and convey a specific atmosphere.
